ENIGMA

the album

Less than two years ago, Tünde Jakab released her debut album "The Love Revolution" and entered the world of contemporary pop music. The singer and musician may be a newcomer to pop music, but before that she spent a lifetime dedicated to classical music. In 2020 Tünde hung up quite a successful career of a classical flautist to pursue a dream. In her own words "music is the dream and creating something new is the ultimate reward for the soul". Not content to be "just" an interpreter, she embarked on a journey to make a mark, to create, not just recreate. Letting the movement flow freely, the songs came together organically and it wasn't long before a distinctive musical style was born. The signature style of Tünde's music is described as sophisticated pop with a touch of jazz and blues. Slightly melancholic, yet hopeful and in some moments even romantic. With her second album ENIGMA, Tünde picks up where she left off with her first album "The Love Revolution" and adds a few spices. From the first notes of the Intro, the music hypnotizes you and draws you into the world of Tünde. The celestial sounds reach for the stars. A cosmic universe invites you in, and little is left for desire. Tünde is generous with her emotions and honest about reality, but make no mistake about it, in the end you will wonder if she has told you everything or if she has left parts of the puzzle hidden. Life is an enigma. Enigma is the puzzle to be solved. ENIGMA, to be released on Klam Records on 4/25/2025, was produced by Austrian producer Thomas Mora and recorded by a stellar collection of Austrian musicians in Vienna. The first song after the intro, called "Ark", is a song about hope for a better future, of reaching up and onward. „David“ was born after Tünde visited a naturist beach where she saw ordinary naked people and realized that "she had a 'statue of David' at home“. The jazzy "Honey, Honey" came to life after Tünde's husband took the car and drove to the mountains with his buddies for the weekend. Situation, on the other hand, was written after Tünde came back from a short Slovakian tour last summer, expecting some quality time, but he was too busy. Yellow Clouds is one of the oldest songs Tünde has ever written. In fact, she can't remember if the subject of the song was inspired by her own life or that of a friend, but the song itself is so strong that it kept coming back and insisting on being produced. The main line of "Yellow Clouds" is "I wonder if you still love me.“ „Don't Wake Me Up“ started as a line from Tünde's WhatsApp history. One morning she woke up to the disappointment that her husband had already left for work. She texted him, „You left without kissing me goodbye.“ The music video, produced by the talented Tonband Media team, shows a Sleeping Beauty awakening to the sound of the song. In her dream, she runs through a maze in search of the source of the sound. „Brokenhearted“ is a song that deals with the consequences of alcoholism. „160“ is a fun revenge song after fighting a tough legal battle and winning in the end. „Home“ is a song about brotherhood, sisterhood, perseverance and fellowship. Tünde hopes you enjoy this album as much as she enjoyed writing and creating it.
